The Toronto-based King says that “Good Intentions” was inspired by a relationship that ended despite love and sincere aims.
The song features Toronto-based Chinese classical musicians Lina Cao (guzheng), Amely Zhou (erhu), and Lipeng Wu (dizi).
According to King, his song is about finding the courage to speak our truths and not being afraid of judgment from others.
They’ll be joined by fellow GTA musicians Tennyson King, Chynnna Lewis, Vicki Lovelee, and Dr. Holic, as well as six others from Vancouver.
King likes to describe himself as a nomad—and his musical career has taken on five tours of Australia and three tours of China.
