Hyper-energetic Toronto alt-pop artist AIKO TOMI has released a new mini-album,“Delulu Demon”. Over three tracks, she and producer Andrew Rasmussen “dare listeners to dream beyond reason, confront their inner contradictions, and find peace in darkness”.

This is how it’s described in TOMI”s news release issued on Friday (September 27).

“The journey begins with the title track, ‘Delulu Demon,’ where AIKO TOMI captures the fearless spirit of dreaming big. ‘Delulu Demon, never stop dreaming,’ sets the tone — a call to embrace every impossible ambition with audacity and abandon. Lines like ‘Do it again until I get it all’ reflect a relentless desire to reach for more, even when reality pushes back. It’s an invitation to step boldly into the unknown, where the desire to “have it all” meets the human vulnerability of wanting.

“Next is ‘Violently Kawaii,’ the soundtrack to your ‘cute-rage’. Here, the lyrics twist between sweetness and ferocity: ‘I keep the lid on my rage by keeping cute’ and ‘I wanna chop your head off with lasers pew pew pew.’ The track blurs the lines between soft and strong, revealing the hidden tensions we all hold — the playful and the powerful, the innocent and the intense. It’s an anthem for anyone who’s ever been two opposing forces at once, embracing the dualities that make us who we are.

“The final track, ‘Some Lights Need to be Dimmed,’ shifts the mood to reflection. With the key line, ‘It’s a nice thought to let everybody shine, but some nights, it gets too bright,’ AIKO TOMI brings us to a place of balance and acceptance. Not every dream needs to be chased; not every moment calls for brightness. This song offers a space to breathe, to reflect, and to understand that finding peace sometimes means knowing when to step back, when to rest, and choosing the right moments to shine.

“ ‘Delulu Demon’ is an exploration of the messy, beautiful complexity of being human—a mini-album that dares to celebrate contradictions, to mix light with dark, and to find clarity in both ambition and restraint. ‘Delulu Demon’ is now streaming on all major platforms.”
